My friend Amy Shelf made a special end of the year love/hate list and I thought I’d join along. I love making lists.
I love…
- New Years Resolutions
- That Tom is getting into making curries
- How affectionate our dog is. I love that she is oozing with personality
- Being pregnant. I feel like I’ve waited forever, so every discomfort is comforting to me
- Moving to Portland. We are loving it here
- Cinnamon. It’s turning out to be the strongest pregnancy craving. Sometimes the smell of it makes my eyes roll back into my head
- I love being married
- Changing seasons
- My new Christmas tuke (tuque?)
- My electric blanket
- Orange Julius, not the crappy mall place, the ones from my own blender
- Swimming
- Apples! I love them more now than I ever did
- How Mississippi smells and feels after a bath
- All the little things that Tom does every day for us and how optimistic he always is
- Cooking for other people and I don’t do it enough
I hate…
- Sitting in front of a computer all day and feeling isolated
- My art making procrastinations
- That Mississippi eats and digs in the garden
- How much college costs
- How dry the winter weather makes my nose
- That not everyone has the legal right to marry, including Californians. Boo!
- Salt and vinegar potato chips. You might as well feed me kryptonite
- All the species of plants and animals that are dying off from human development. We are an invasive species
- The one friend I should be sharing this time with is the one I can’t ever seem to reconsile with
- That my new sewing machine hates me
- That Mississippi still pulls on her leash
- Dealing with my hair
- Health insurance in the US right now. Here’s hoping my children dont have to go through the same crap
