Ring Lost, Ring Found

Today I painted first thing in the morning. It feels good to be back at the studio. I miss Larry. I hope I can take a class from him in the Fall. Just so I have some time set aside to paint. Otherwise, I might not paint at all, with all my classes. I could paint for 3 hours a week, right? As I was washing up, I must have washed my ring right off. I didn’t even notice until I got home and went for my run. I panicked. It fell off once before, same thing, while washing up after painting. It’s the only time I use that much soap (heh). So I tried to comfort myself in knowing the odds of it being at the studio were high. I rode my scooter over to the studio and there it was, on the floor, just under the sink. Hurray!

I am working on the Bunny still life painting. It’s the one I’m going to call “Wash up before supper” based on the websites that threathen to kill and eat cute animals unless the public pays them large sums of money. I think it’s coming along nicely. I had to reposition the arms, it used to look like he was praying instead of washing himself. I darkened up the darks and lightened up the lights, and worked on the background. When I look at it, I smile, so I know it’s going ot be a winner. I should have shared pictures with you. I also did another layer on the whale and squid painting. It needs more work. I hope it doesn’t turn into another ‘kobe the dog’ painting with no resolution in site. I don’t think it will.

My run was very good. I went to Kezar to try and set my new pedometer. It didn’t work, which stinks. Don’t buy an Accusplit Ambassador Freedom Walker. They don’t work at all. I did lots of strength training. That sort of surprized me that I even felt like doing it at all. I actually enjoyed doing it. Usually that’s the part that I loath about training. I stayed at Kezar a good hour and a half. I realise that once school starts, getting training time is going to be very hard. I hope I can keep up with training. I have all my training days written on my dry erase board and I underline each one in green once I complete them. It gives me a sense of accomplishement. Maybe I will take a picture at the end of this week and show you. Maybe I’ll do that once a week. Would you like that, dear reader? Or do you really not care? Oh wait, I don’t care if you care or not, it’s my journal. So like it or lump it. Ha!
