Merry Christmas

Wow, I can’t believe how little time I have for blogging lately. But at the moment, Juniper is taking a long nap, so I thought I’d sneak one in. Merry Christmas!

Aebleskivers and apple sauce

I got spoiled again this year. Got a Pressure canner, a flash for my camera, a canning book, a William Morris quilt deign book, a coffee pot for our fancy china set, lotsa chocolates, and a French learning dvd/audio set. Santa was good to the family this year, giving us a couple of new Le Creuset pans using our American Express points. And we were generally spoiled all around by having this amazing little girl, in this amazing house, with our amazing dog. Life is good.

There’s been a whole lota good food eating going on around here. We had Christmas eve pizza, Aebleskivers and Orange Julius’s for Christmas breakfast, a pot roast with friends Christmas night, fresh baked Stollen, sloppy joe sandwiches, fudges from Liz, chocolates and cookies from the other Liz, champagne from the neighbors, and Christmas Hooch from Jen and Roger. So much food! Even Juniper had her first taste of solid food this morning with some rice cereal.

I am at times overwhelmed with thankfulness for this amazing life, this amazing husband and daughter. I hope you’ve all had as wonderful a year as I’ve had.

If I don’t get a chance to post anything else before the end of the year, Happy New Year! You can check out Juniper’s first Christmas on her blog.
