I went to the store yesteterday and got a fuji apple and a root beet, two of my favorite things right now. I seem to need emergency bottles around lately. I’m drinking my emergency bottle as I type this. It seems like the perfect root beer drinking moment right now. It is glorious and sunny outside today but we are both lazing around the house, enjoying the weather from the couch. If Tom ever wakes up from his nap, we’ll go for a walk, maybe up to tank hill.
I got up pretty early this morning to pick up a package at the Post Office. I dropped by the Haight Ashbury market and got an assortment of apples. I tried to Pink Lady today to see if it was any better than that first one I had. I was better, but still very tart and kind of dry. It only helped me enjoy my root beer that much better.
I ate the fuji apple yesterday afternoon knowing I was going to have a full night ahead of me. It was a good, solid apple experience, though not exactly memorable. It was sticky and sweet. I had to wash my hands after eating it. Tom’s band played last night and we didn’t get home til about 1am. Today is definitely a good day for lazing it up.
