The modern art museum was closed! All I found were guys shooting up on
the steps, broken beer bottles, and skateboarders. Maybe it was an
installation piece.
I am sitting in the garden of Delacroix’s last studio. Inside I found
Death of Sardanapolis, by Vuillard? Wow I have a terrible memory. Well
it was much more enjoyable in person. He used gold dust on the jewelry
and it sparkles. You can see more of the dark background in the
painting, a city on fire. Sardanapolis looks on as his women, slaves and
horses are murdered before his eyes, before he takes his own life
instead of being murdered. When I was looking at it, I was giving myself
my own personal sister wendy explanation in my head.
Now, I don’t know, there’s another museum close by but I don’t know if I
can find it. Its not on my map and I haven’t seen signs. Supposed to
have a nice post impressionist collection. I went into st germain church
and lit a little white candle for a euro. I hope I left it with a good
saint.
I stayed at the louvre a while after seeing the mona lisa. People were
very polite waiting to see her except for one american woman pushing on
me. I turned and glared and said “we are all waiting our turn” she
stopped pushing. I saw some amazing things at the louvre and am sad that
I don’t have more time to spend there.
